No New Orders

At least for the summer, I have decided to take some time off and work on stuff for my family--I have lots of birthday and wedding gifts to keep me busy, too. Our summers are always busy with trips--so it will be hard for me to do much else. You can always feel free to contact me to see if I can fit something in for you--but it will depend on how busy I am.

Appliqued Hand Towels

I love how these hand towels turned out. They are done on a waffle weave kitchen towel and would make a great gift for someone or yourself. As always, I can customize the colors to match your kitchen. I just love how the green and brown look together.

One of these towels done with a holiday design would also be a cute idea for a teacher gift.

Waffle Weave Hand Towel Cost: $10

This first towel is done with the Mia Frame Applique from Planet Applique. Both towels are done in Juliet font. It is shown packaged with some Bath and Body Works hand soap. I would be glad to package one up for you as a gift for an additional charge.

This towel is done with a frame from Bunnycup Embroidery.

Monogrammed Towels

Monogrammed towels make great gifts. They can be more formal for a wedding or house warming gift--or they can be cute for a child's gift. Prices vary on towels---based on style and quality of towel you want and style of monogram. I am always willing to look for an item for you if you want a particular color/style. Here are some pictures of towels I've done:

The brown towels and the pink towels were bought at the big after Thanksgiving sale at Walmart. I'll have to check for pricing on these now since they are no longer on sale.

The brown towel with blue monogram was done as a set of 2 large towels and 2 hand towels.
Shown with Juliet font with an added scroll. I have many different scrolls and borders to choose from.

Got to love pink and purple together. Shown with Curlz font. Can be used in a bathroom or this towel is actually large enough to be used as a beach towel.

.............................................................

Love this towel!  These will be available as long as the store I get them from keeps them.
The price on this particular towel (white leopard) will be $12.

I've seen lots of other cute towels out there. Target has some great looking zebra print--but they cost more for me to purchase. Just message me if you are interested.

Versatile Embroidery Design

I continue to be amazed at some of the things that can be done with machine embroidery. Almost any embroidery design can be altered in appearance by changing thread colors, etc. This particular design is especially versatile. I did this design on a pair of matching pillowcases for my nieces to match their bedroom.

The design can be done as is--or I can eliminate any part of it: the outer swirl, the inner circle, or even the letter or letter outline. I think it would look really good with just the outer swirl and the letter--just a simple design. This particular design can also be done with applique.

And with applique---fabric choices are unlimited! This would look great with a single letter monogram or even with an appliqued letter--such as the babybet on the right in designs.

SO....if you ever see something you like, but want different colors or wonder if it can be done differently--just message me and we'll see what we can come up with!

Note: For those of you who have an embroidery machine--these are both Planet Applique designs. The first design is a free set available for joining the Planet Applique yahoo group. The second design (applique) is available at the website: http://www.planetapplique.com/. This is probably my favorite place to buy designs. They have frequent sales and some great freebies. If you join their mailing list by January 1st, you'll recieve 150 loyalty points to use to purchase their designs.

Now taking orders...

I just got back from a wonderful trip to the mountains after a very busy Christmas schedule. I will go ahead and start taking new orders. Please note that all items are "made to order".  I always work to get orders done as quickly as possible, but please allow 2-3 weeks for an item to be ready. I usually have items done much quicker than this--sometimes even the next day on some items. It all depends on if I have the items you want readily available or if I have to special order fabric, etc. As always, message me and I can give you a time frame of when I can likely complete your order.

Send all questions and/or orders to sjackson1701@yahoo.com.

Valentine's Day will be here before you know it. If you are interested in me doing something for you for Valentine's Day, please message my by the end of January.

Is it too early to be thinking about Valentine's Day?

This new design would be perfect for Valentine's Day--and classroom parties. I think it would still be fine to use year round for a little girl. Can also put name or initials inside.

Design from Planet Applique--they have lots of other Valentine's Day designs as well.
Message me if you see something you like.

New Designs

I've just added some new designs to the side of the blog--so be sure to look for them. This one is one of my favorites:

How cute are these mittens? They are an Applique Cafe design. For those fellow embroidery people--I have followed this lady's blog for a while now (even before I had an embroidery machine) and she has just recently started digitizing her own designs (http://www.appliquecafe.com/). They are just adorable--and I like that she keeps things simple. I plan to make an outfit for my little guy using this applique on a shirt and making some matching corduroy pants. This would also look adorable in pink corduroy for a little girl. I'll post some pics once I make the outfit. First I've got to conquer the pile of items that I've got to do for Christmas gifts. So much to do...so little time!

Aprons

Okay...so the little guy is getting a kitchen for Christmas--so he's getting lots of things to go with it. I couldn't resist doing a little apron for him. As you can see--he's already been wearing it around. This is just a simple apron (there are more colors available) and is available in child or adult sizes. This would be great for your little kitchen helper or for a teacher to use in a center (with the classroom theme, of course)--as well as a gift for Grandma in an adult size. I can even do matching Mommy & Me aprons. I tried to get a good pic so you can get an idea of the child size, but Jonah is always on the go--action pictures are the only ones I'm taking these days. Jonah is still a little guy, so I had to make a knot in the top part in order for it to fit him better.

Child Apron: $10
Adult Apron: $12
